Manuel Elbio Aquino Sequeira holds degrees in Physical Education and Sports Administration, with a specialization in Neuroscience Applied to Sports Learning. A former Executive Director of the YMCA and former university professor, he brings extensive experience in sports management, education, and athlete development. He contributes strategically to the leadership and institutional strengthening of the Confederação Brasileira de Lacrosse.

Celso Shiguetoshi Tanabe holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), a Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering (Energy in Agriculture) from UFV, and a Ph.D. in Energy Systems Planning from UNICAMP. He served for 16 years as a Regional Councilor of CREA-PA and for two terms as Regional Coordinator of CONFEA. His academic career spans over two decades, with roles including faculty member, program coordinator, academic director, and university president (2001–2023), as well as institutional and program evaluator for INEP/MEC. He has also contributed directly to Physical Education programs, supporting the integration of lacrosse into academic settings. Currently, he works as an entrepreneur in the civil construction and services sectors.

Leiliane de Souza Alvarenga holds a teaching degree in Physical Education and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in the field. She works in sports training with a focus on athlete development within school environments. As a member of the Board of Directors of the Confederação Brasileira de Lacrosse, she contributes to governance, organizational development, and the growth of the sport nationwide.

Alessandra Baraciol Blauth holds degrees in Physical Education (Teaching and Bachelor’s), with postgraduate studies in School Physical Education and specialized training in youth and junior swimming. She has extensive experience teaching Physical Education at the elementary and secondary school levels, contributing strong expertise in pedagogy, grassroots sport development, and educational programming. As a member of the CBL Board of Directors, she supports the Confederation’s governance and institutional structure.

Amaro Theodoro Damasceno Neto holds degrees in Physical Education and in Portuguese and English Language Education, with a specialization in Educational Psychology, with emphasis on Psychopedagogy. A former university professor and former faculty member of the Federal Institute of Pará, he brings solid experience in education, human development, and institutional management, contributing a multidisciplinary perspective to the Board of Directors.

Gabriel G. M. Hussid is an attorney specializing in Sports Law and a co-founder of the Business Sports Law Study Group at Mackenzie Presbyterian University (GEDDE-MACK). He serves as an Auditor for the Superior Sports Justice Tribunal of the Brazilian National Futsal League and for the Sports Justice Tribunal of the São Paulo Volleyball League, in addition to acting as Prosecutor for the São Paulo Futsal League. Gabriel also serves as Legal and Governance Manager for the Brazilian Rugby Confederation, bringing extensive experience in sports governance, compliance, and disciplinary justice.

Thais Xerfan Melhem is an attorney and Sports Law specialist certified by ESA/SP, with extensive experience in sports justice and disciplinary proceedings. She serves as President of the Superior Sports Justice Tribunal of the Brazilian Sport Climbing Confederation, Vice President of the Second Disciplinary Committee of the Brazilian National Basketball League (LNB), and Prosecutor General of the São Paulo Tennis Federation. Thais also acts as an auditor across multiple sports justice tribunals and as a Public Defender for the Anti-Doping Tribunal, in addition to having professional experience in the United States.

Athos Moura is a journalist specializing in sports management and sports law, with professional experience at leading media outlets, including O Globo, where he served as editor of the Panorama Esportivo column. He is currently a master’s candidate in Olympic Studies and Event Management at the International Olympic Academy in Greece. Athos serves as Alternate Ethics Council Member of the Confederação Brasileira de Lacrosse and as Institutional Relations Coordinator for the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Sports Department, where he is part of the Local Organizing Committee for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.

Diógenis V. Barbosa is an attorney specializing in Sports and Contract Law, with a postgraduate degree in Sports Law from ESA/SP and currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Management and Legal Skills at ISDE in Barcelona. He works in strategic litigation at Faragone Advogados, is a member of the Legal Committee of the Mover Futebol movement, and serves as a public defender for the Anti-Doping Sports Justice Tribunal. He also serves as an Alternate Member of the Ethics Council of the Confederação Brasileira de Lacrosse.

Pedro de Albuquerque Pinheiro is an entrepreneur with academic training in Physical Therapy from the Catholic University of Goiás and complementary studies in Physical Education. He holds a postgraduate specialization in RPG and brings over 12 years of experience in the sport, fitness, and wellness sectors. Pedro currently operates businesses in the beverage and real estate industries, contributing a strong perspective in financial oversight and organizational management to the Audit Committee.

Jone Luiz Queiroz de Oliveira holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Teaching License in Physical Education, with a specialization in Physical Activity and Health and a Master’s degree in Human Movement Science. A former handball athlete, he works as a sports physiologist with experience in soccer and futsal. He has an extensive background in education, serving as a public school educator through SEDUC/PA, a technical education instructor with SECTET/PA, and a university professor at CEULS/ULBRA, where he also serves as Coordinator of the Physical Education program. He additionally coordinates the EETEPA Santarém School of Sport Project, supporting the development of basketball, futsal, handball, and lacrosse. Through his academic, technical, and leadership experience, he contributes valuable expertise to the CBL Audit Committee.

Andrea Dobal Lyons is an Information Technology Management professional with a degree in Computer Science, a master’s degree in Educational Sciences, and an MBA in E-Commerce. She has extensive experience in software development, project management, and team leadership within corporate environments. Since 2018, she has served as a volunteer lacrosse team manager, supporting operational organization, strategic planning, and institutional communication. Andrea is fluent in Portuguese and English.

André Guedes Gomes da Silva holds degrees in Physical Education (Licensure and Bachelor’s) and Pedagogy, along with multiple specializations in psychomotor development, pedagogical coordination, educational planning, and school management. He has professional experience as a public school educator and currently serves as a Pedagogical Coordinator within the Municipal Department of Education of Mojuí dos Campos, Pará, bringing strong expertise in educational governance and program oversight.

Dâmaris Arouche da Rocha Guedes holds a degree in Pedagogy, with postgraduate specializations in literacy development, early childhood education, primary education, and psychopedagogy. She has served as a public school educator in Mojuí dos Campos, Pará, and currently teaches within the public education system in Santarém, contributing a solid foundation in educational methodology and developmental oversight.

Giovana Lanna Dobal Brunetti is a journalist with over 20 years of experience in strategic communication, public affairs, press relations, and broadcast journalism. She currently serves as Superintendent of Journalism for the Municipality of Colatina, overseeing institutional communication, official content production, and media relations. Giovana spent 13 years as Chief of Reporting at TV Gazeta and holds an MBA in Media Studies, contributing strong expertise in communication strategy, transparency, and team leadership to the Audit Committee.

Tyler Yarnall is a Brazilian-American lacrosse athlete with a strong connection to Brazil through his family heritage. His mother is from Pombos, and Tyler spent part of each year in Brazil growing up, developing a lasting connection to the country and its sporting community.

 

Tyler began playing lacrosse at the age of eight and went on to compete at a high level throughout his academic career. He attended American Heritage School in Delray Beach, Florida, where he earned First Team All-District honors twice as a midfielder. He later continued his playing career at the University of Florida, competing in the MCLA program.

 

Internationally, Tyler is an active member of the Brazilian Men’s National Team and has represented Brazil in multiple international competitions, including PALA Sixes tournaments in 2023 and 2025. He represents the Sixes discipline within the Athletes’ Commission and currently serves as Secretary of the Athletes’ Commission, contributing to athlete representation, governance, and program development.

 

Committed to the long-term growth of the sport, Tyler’s goals include supporting Brazil’s Olympic pathway in the Sixes discipline and helping expand access to lacrosse in Brazil, strengthening the sport’s foundation for future generations.

Alexander Kennedy is a versatile lacrosse athlete with experience across the high school, collegiate, club, and international levels. Competing as both a goalkeeper and midfielder, he earned First Team All-State honors at West Morris Central High School, where he regularly faced nationally ranked programs during the competitive high school season.

 

He continued his academic and athletic career at the Stevens Institute of Technology, competing at the NCAA Division III level while earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following his undergraduate studies, Alexander completed a post-graduate year competing with his club program, contributing to a National College Lacrosse League (NCLL) Division II National Championship title.

 

Professionally, Alexander is the founder and managing lead of a multidisciplinary design firm based in Austin, Texas, balancing his career with continued high-level athletic involvement. He is an active Sixes athlete for Brasil Lacrosse and serves as a member of the CBL Athletes’ Commission, where he is committed to athlete representation, program development, and the long-term growth of lacrosse in Brazil. Internationally, Alexander has represented Brasil in major Sixes competitions, including EuroSixes 2024 and PALA Sixes 2025, contributing to the ongoing development of Brazil’s Olympic pathway.

Pietra Cabral has been playing lacrosse for nearly 10 years, with experience at the youth, collegiate, and international levels. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, she was introduced to the sport at a young age and has continued her development in the United States, where she currently competes at the NCAA level for Manhattanville University.

 

Pietra has represented Brasil Lacrosse internationally across multiple disciplines, including Sixes lacrosse, and competed at the PALA Sixes Cup in Puerto Rico. She serves as the Athletes’ Commission Representative Titular for Field Lacrosse, while remaining actively involved across other disciplines within the CBL program.

 

Alongside her athletic career, Pietra is pursuing a degree in Sports Studies, with minors in Psychology and Sports Performance & Motivation. She also serves as Vice President of the Brasil Lacrosse Athletes’ Commission, where she is dedicated to advancing athlete representation, leadership development, and the continued growth of lacrosse in Brazil.

Leah Nelson has been playing lacrosse for eight years, with experience as a high-level multi-sport athlete. Before specializing in lacrosse, she competed in basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track throughout middle and high school, developing a well-rounded athletic foundation that continues to shape her game.

 

Leah currently competes as an NCAA Division I lacrosse athlete at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she is pursuing a degree in Nursing. In addition to her collegiate career, she represents Brasil Lacrosse as an active athlete across multiple disciplines.

 

Within the CBL governance structure, Leah serves as the Athletes’ Commission Representative Suplente for Field Lacrosse, contributing to athlete representation. She is committed to leadership, service, and the continued growth of lacrosse in Brazil, both on and off the field.

Titus Andrew Sousa Chapman has been playing lacrosse for over 10 years, with experience at the school, university, semi-professional, and international levels. He began his career in the sport at Farragut High School in Tennessee (USA) and continued his university career at Limestone University in Gaffney, South Carolina. He then used his fifth year of eligibility to play at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.

Titus currently resides in the United Kingdom, where he is pursuing his master’s degree and competing for Nottingham Trent University, in addition to playing club lacrosse for Poynton Sports Club. He also has experience in box lacrosse, having played for the Rochester Hawkeyes and won the NCBS Championship title in 2024.

Titus is an active athlete on the Brazilian Men’s Lacrosse Team and participates in all aspects of the CBL program. In addition to his role as a player, he represents athletes as a Box Lacrosse representative and serves as President of the Athletes’ Commission, contributing to the strengthening of governance, athlete representation, and the development of Brazilian lacrosse.

Trevor began playing lacrosse at the age of 14 and has since developed into a versatile athlete with experience across collegiate, club, and international levels. He competed collegiately at Keiser University, where he won a NAIA National Championship and completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Kinesiology, combining high-level athletic performance with a strong academic foundation.

 

A founding player of the Brazilian lacrosse club system, Trevor was selected to the Brazilian Men’s National Team in both 2023 and 2025. He currently competes with the Palm Beach Rams, playing at a high level in both box and field lacrosse, and remains active across multiple disciplines within the CBL program.

 

Beyond competition, Trevor serves within CBL governance as the Athletes’ Commission Representative Suplente for Box Lacrosse, contributing to athlete representation and program development while competing across all disciplines. Professionally, he works in education, coaching, and personal training, supporting both competitive athletes and special populations. Trevor is deeply committed to athlete development, leadership, and the continued growth of lacrosse in Brazil.
